For Early Career and Students in Live Entertainment

Touring & Cruises

Touring Companies

AEG Worldwide

Providers of entertainment services to a wide variety of venues, for whom touring is just one aspect of their business. Touring is largely done in the US through AEG Presents, Concerts West, and Messina Touring Group (MTG). They produce the tours for acts such as Céline Dion, The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, and Ed Sheeran.

NETWorks Presentations

One of the major Broadway touring companies. Currently touring 12 shows, union and non-union.

Feld Entertainment

Disney on Ice, Disney Live, Marvel Universe Live, Sesame Street Live, Monster Jam, Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and Amsoil Arenacross are the current shows Feld produces. They produced Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus for years, and acts such as Sigfried & Roy, Masters of the Impossible.

PRG

Like AEG, touring is just one aspect of their business. They have an internship program as well as hiring for all aspects of their operation.

Troika

One of the major Broadway touring companies. Currently touring 11 shows.

vstar entertainment

VStar currently produces 5 live shows, three Nickelodeon, Cirque Dreams, and Discover the Dinosaurs Time Trek. In the past, they produced Sesame Street Live, My Little Pony Live, Hello Kitty Live, Bear in the Big Blue House Live, and so on. In addition to touring, they have their own in-house production facility capable of producing costumes, puppets, props, and set pieces.

Work Light productions

One of the major Broadway touring companies. Currently touring 9 shows.

Cirque du soleil

Internationally known for both its touring shows and local shows in tourist destinations, Canada-based Cirque du Solei is an entertainment powerhouse. Cirque du Soleil operates the Blue Man Group in addition to their many original and unique shows.

Cruise Lines

Most cruise lines are owned by the same three companies, Carnival Corporation & PLC, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., and Norwegian Cruise Line Holding Ltd., but not all. Where the information is available, the parent corporation is included in the description. This can be beneficial when looking for a new contract, as it may be easier to hire on to a different company in the same corporation if there isn’t anything available with the one you’ve been working for. Linking works a little differently for these entries. The titles take you to the line’s main web site and job site links can be found in the description. Note that contracts are usually 6 months at a minimum. Virgin has said they have contracts as short as 4 months.
