Important SETC Information!

SETC’s newsletter for September & October is available, and has some big news about upcoming events!

LiNK Graduate Auditions and Interviews will be virtual this year, happening December 2-4. More information on pg. 2 of the newsletter, http://www.setc.org/link or http://www.usitt.org/link.

SETC 2021 will be a “hybrid” convention this year, mostly virtual, but with some job fair and audition meetings in-person in Memphis, TN. The dates are March 3-7 with registration dates as yet unannounced, though pg. 5 notes that professional audition selectees (see more below) will be allowed to register starting Dec. 18.

SETC 2022 is announced for March 9-13 again in Memphis, TN! Be sure to save the dates. They will be on the calendar.

National Conference of Outdoor Theatre is coming up fast, October 1 & 2, all presented virtually this year. Registration is an odd one with a pay-what-you-will scheme with a minimum of $1, and a suggested registration of $95. It’s very affordable for first-timers. Though, if you can afford more than $1, the money goes to a great organization that promotes theatre arts.

SETC Professional Screening Auditions are different this year! They will all be done by video. Information can be found on pg. 5 of the newsletter. The important dates are registration and submissions are due between October 5 and November 6 (pay attention to times in the newsletter!). Selectees will be announced Nov. 30, and registration for the 2021 convention begins Dec. 18.

Finally, the Summer & Outdoor Theatre Auditions are announced for January 15 & 16, 2021. Registration will open Dec 2 at Noon Eastern and close Dec 18 at Noon Eastern. The fee is $55. More information at http://outdoor-theatre.org/auditions.
